ELCAN Assurance: Where Mission Assurance is the collective customer-focused culture of Raytheon, ELCAN Assurance is the internal identification and recognition of notable individual contributions to Customer Success.

ELCAN has built a global reputation by creating the world’s most demanding high precision optics. “Demanding” often means the end-user is relying on the optics and electronics in his or her product to work perfectly at a critical moment. This is obvious for military components. A highly sophisticated missile may be transported around the world for years, and in spite of maintenance, its performance isn't truly realized until it is deployed. A soldier can be highly trained and equipped with the best man-portable technology, but the failure of a spring or screw can put him or her in danger.

The dependence on ELCAN components is less obvious with commercial and industrial customers, but is no less important. A surgeon relies on a laser to cauterize bleeding arteries. A pilot landing a jumbo jet in poor visibility relies on the sensors, avionics and heads-up display to touchdown safely. These are no less life and death situations than the soldier on the battlefield.

“Whether the user of our product is a soldier, sailor or airman;
a cinematographer taking a critical shot;

a pilot landing a commercial airliner in poor weather;
or a doctor performing a delicate procedure;
our customers depend on us to do the job right”
